Tree canopy tour (8-9 hours)

A 3 horse ride through spectacular scenery up the Río Yambala valley to the Las Palmas reserve, followed by a 2 to 3 hour hike through the cloud forest on which you will see an endless diversity of lichens, giant tree ferns, bromeliads, orchids and birds, before taking our unique tree canopy tour. Visit the Las Palmas waterfalls, then saddle up for the downvalley trek.

Las Palmas Waterfalls (6hs)

Horsetreck upvalley to the Las Palmas reserve and visit the Las Palmas waterfalls, an hours hike through the cloud forest, before the return trek home.

Union of Rivers (4 hrs)

• Taste of the cloud forest.

For a more relaxed trip, with good views and a taste of the cloud forest, horsetreck upvalley and take a short walk at the union of rivers, a forested area by the river on the way to Las Palmas.

Valley of Vilcabamba (4 or 6 hrs)

• Visit to Sugar cane mill

Trek downvalley, through the local colour of country life, where the biggest traffic jam you’ll encounter is a bunch of donkeys on autopilot to the cane mill. Stop at a trapiche, where sugar cane is made into raw sugar.
